Facial Hair RemovalMost women consider too much hair on their cheeks unsightly. This is as a result of many social -cultural factors that deem such women less feminine and unattractive.  Unfortunately for the woman, this is a situation they have to contend with everyday.  No woman wants to talk about it because to them it is overly embarrassing.

It is this common belief that has seen many women the world over seek for facial hair removal alternatives that can help them enhance their feminine look.  Fortunately, there are several methods that can help women looking for either temporary or permanent solutions for this condition. The methods chosen will depend on the desired end results one wishes to achieve.

The permanent methods that include electrolysis and laser can be quite expensive hence most women prefer simple home based remedies that are less costly. Below is a list of the common methods you can use depending on your needs and the expected results.

Shaving is the most common method used by many women across the world since it does not cost much.  Although some women fear that shaving can cause the hair to grow back in its harder and darker form the opposite is true.  Shaving causes the fine tip of the hair to disappear.

Waxing is another temporary but common method for removing hair.  Usually cloth strips smeared with wax are placed on the affected areas where dead cells and hair will be attached to the wax.  The strips are them pulled off leaving the skin smooth and hairless. Many women prefer this option because the results can last up to several weeks.

Although time consuming and a bit painful, tweezing is another common method especially for eyebrows and some few stray hairs.  The rate at which one tweezes will depend on the rate at which the hair grows. Also, it can be rather time consuming if you have a lot of facial hair.

The use of depilatory creams is also common these days as an alternative to hair removal. All you have to do is choose a cream meant for the face to smear the unwanted areas then wipe after a few minutes.

Other women can still opt for permanent methods including laser alternatives.  This incorporates light that is infused into the hair follicle to kill the hair root. It is less stingy and the results are permanent. Electrolysis on the other hand relies on the use of epilator to create electrical impulses into the hair each follicle. Since both the roots and hair are destroyed in the process it becomes impossible for hair to grow back.  The side effects involved in these two methods are quite minimal but it is always advisable to consult a qualified and licensed dermatologist to help in the identification of the most favorable method for you. The environment in which the procedures are performed should be clean, safe and sterile to avoid after treatment infections.

From the above discussion, it is obvious that there are many treatment options for facial hair removal.  Some of the methods are more effective compared to others so it is important that you select one that best suitable and comfortable to bring to an end stubborn and unwanted hair.
